Description: The main aim of this study is to investigate if and to what degree individuals with and without a prior mental disorder who are lonely, socially isolated and poorly socially supported, respectively, have a higher mortality rate than the remaining individuals. Such knowledge may lead to identification of relevant target groups for preventive interventions, and it may also provide indications on the underlying mechanisms. Documentation for the data management underlying the applied register data can be found here: https://osf.io/zhfyp/
