Description: The present corpus contains oral narrative discourses of 40 first-year undergraduate students studying Early Childhood Education in the Faculty of Education and Psychology at the University of Girona (Girona, Catalonia), a program of study for future pre-primary education teachers. Each student was video-recorded while performing a short narrative task in which they had to retell one wordless cartoon in both (1) adult-directed speech (ADS) and (2) child-directed speech (CDS), yielding a total of 80 narrative discourses. All the narratives have been orthographically transcribed and analyzed for gesture. Data availability: The audiovisual data of this corpus are not publicly available due to privacy or ethical concerns and are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request (OSF data repository). The ELAN data (and information about this project) are available at OSF with the identifier https://doi.org/10.17605/OSF.IO/AE3XR *Important note*: The project information will soon be available on OSF.
