**This is a large scale registered replication report (RRR) of a major cognitive dissonance paradigm: induced compliance with a counterattitudinal essay.** The general goal of this project is to replicate a seminal study from the cognitive dissonance literate. We chose to replicate Study 1 of Croyle and Cooper (1983), which examined the effect of attitude change in the induced compliance paradigm. The files are zipped to preserve the folder structure that was used to organize each lab's files. If you are interested in the general method (as opposed to the specifics of a single lab) you can also take a look at the Qualtrics Word documents in the Documents folder. **Data** The data for reproducing the analyses in the published manuscript are available in the Data folder. The file is called 'prepared-data-subset.csv'. There is also a data file that contains one third of the full data called 'dissonance-rrr-exploration.csv'. This file can be used to explore the data and prepare preregistrations to test hypotheses on the full dataset, which will be released at a later date. The Documents folder contains a data logbook file that describes each column in the data.
