This is a large scale registered replication report (RRR) of a major cognitive dissonance paradigm: induced compliance with a counterattitudinal essay.

The general goal of this project is to replicate a seminal study from the cognitive dissonance literate. We chose to replicate Study 1 of Croyle and Cooper (1983), which examined the effect of attitude change in the induced compliance paradigm.
