Description: We introduce IDEST database, which consists of 250 short stories rated for valence, arousal, and comprehensibility in two languages. The original texts were written in Finnish, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese or Turkish, and translated to English. Ratings are available for texts in the original languages and the English translations.
