Wiki Version:
In working on solutions, we focused on drafting a Reviewer Role Taxonomy to assist authors, reviewers and editors in the process of interdisciplinary peer review. The summary of our session outcomes further includes a list points to add to reviewer checklists, a list of existing literature, and further tips to authors, reviewers and editors. We have also started making a (very preliminary) whitelist of journals that have handled interdisciplinary review well, and collected first ideas for using digital technologies to improve peer review. Additions and improvements to this document are welcome.
