Overview

The datasets are presented as 3 files so as to provide a clear match to the measures described in the current paper.
Details of files:

- **Data_RT_Error:** Data from each participant with mean Reaction Times (milliseconds) and Error rates (% incorrect responses) for responses to each of the 4 experimental trial formats – Sporty Compatible/Incompatible & Academic Compatible/Incompatible. All are presented in tabular form.
- **Data_RT_Binned:** Data from each participant where their Reaction Times have been placed into 4 RT bins ranked from fastest to slowest responses in quartiles. These values are attributed to each of the 4 experimental trial formats.
- **Data_EMG:** Data collected using facial EMG techniques for the corrugator and zygomaticus major muscles. Mean activity levels are presented in tabular format for each participant and each experimental trial format.
