Description: Previous studies have shown that even when a statistical base-rate about the occurrence of vaccine adverse events (VAE) is provided, a small sample of single-case narratives from or about individuals who have allegedly been harmed by vaccines influences vaccination risk perceptions and vaccination intentions, irrespective of various content characteristics. In this project we investigated whether this narrative bias is moderated by the risk of the disease that was varied as personal susceptibility, general probability to contract the disease and its severity.
