The Open Science Instrument Platform is part of the SPOMAN Open Science Collaboration based in Denmark. The platform gives you access to DIY instructions on laboratory equipment and just as importantly, it provides you with a platform to share your inventions or homemade instruments. We hope to build an important platform for researchers within different scientific disciplines and R&D departments to find relevant new instruments at an affordable price. All instruments found on the instrument platform should be concluded with all relevant information and details for others to construct. We are not going for IKEA instructions – you must assume the audience is capable and experienced within relevant fields. You are not expected to use months troubleshooting and finetuning, instruments found on the instrument platform are expected to contain sufficient data for others to build what you have built yourself. Always remember to include - Which instrument and what is it used for - Instrument design and which components are necessary - Details on the electronics - Details on software Include relevant drawings, technical points, codes, etc. The hope is, that you will use the instrument platform, build instruments, comment on, and leave projects of your own. Both new projects currently in the making and finished projects, left on the bottom of a drawer are more than welcome. Everyone are welcome to contribute to the instrument platform. These projects are not necessarily based on fundamental student research projects but giving everyone access to laboratory instruments, should make science easier, better, and more relevant.
