**What is BR-UK?** [Behavioural Research UK (BR-UK)][1] is a new consortium funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) via the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). The consortium serves as a leadership hub that is part of a wider ESRC programme to build national capability for behavioural research. BR-UK has been awarded £10 million funding over five years to conduct interdisciplinary behavioural research to contribute to addressing societal challenges. BR-UK is led by Professor Linda Bauld from the University of Edinburgh and Professor Susan Michie from University College London. It involves behavioural researchers from a range of academic disciplines in eight UK Universities, along with partners including the Scottish Government, Welsh Government, government departments and agencies in Northern Ireland, the UK Health Security Agency, Public Health Wales, the Transport Research Laboratory, and Zinc (a company working with entrepreneurs). BR-UK also has e support from a range of other organisations including the UK Government Office for Science who are providing a secondment for the duration of the grant for a BR-UK post-doctoral researcher. **Our Research** BR-UK is currently implementing an 18-month plan to inform its long-term research initiatives. Our initial focus will be conducting a capability scoping study to better understand the current landscape of behavioural research in the UK. This study aims to pinpoint existing strengths, identify areas where scientific and stakeholder needs remain unmet, and highlight opportunities for significant advancements. It will help establish a UK-wide network for behavioural research. We will also undertake demonstration projects to showcase how we leverage existing and expanded frameworks and data to rapidly generate new findings in collaboration with our partners. By collaborating closely with our international advisory board, we aim to chart a 10-year trajectory that propels UK behavioral research to the forefront globally. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that both organizations and communities have access to the expertise needed to design and implement evidence-based programs that drive meaningful behavior change to tackle societal challenges. **BR-UK & The OSF** The Open Science Framework (OSF) is an online platform designed to support the open science movement. OSF, provides open access to study protocols, data, measures and papers with the aim of making the scientific process more robust, transparent, accessible, and democratic. It also ensures that all data and documents are preserved for the long-term and allows different levels of sharing for different parts of the site e.g. public, BR-UK, the study team. BR-UK uses this platform to ensure we fulfill our commitment to open and transparent science practices and to enhance the reproducibility of our work.
