# Issue trade-offs and the politics of representation: Experimental evidence from four European democracies ### *Nora Kirkizh, Caterina Froio & Sebastian Stier* ## Replication materials The data and code provided here enable the replication of the paper ***Issue trade-offs and the politics of representation: Experimental evidence from four European democracies*** published in the *European Journal of Political Research*. The archive contains R scripts and data files. ## R scripts | script | description| |---|--| | `1_preprocessing.R` | Pre-processing data | | `1_preprocessing_GER.R` | Pre-processing data for German replication study | | `2_analysis.R` | Regression analysis and figures in the main paper | | `3_online_appendix.Rmd` | Online appendix | ## Data files Data to reproduce the results are provided in the folder `Data`. The data files are read into the R scripts where appropriate. The folder `Helper` contains helper files necessary for compiling the online appendix. The Facebook data collected from CrowdTangle used in the quantitative text analysis in the online appendix cannot be shared due to proprietary restrictions. Instead, we share an aggregated data file and the script to replicate the text analysis. The Eurobarometer data used in the online appendix can be downloaded from GESIS: https://doi.org/10.4232/1.13318
