Please contact the Center for Open Science for assistance on implementing any of the following (contact@cos.io).** #### Preprints #### - Share the [COS Preprints][5] service with your organization and encourage your grantees to use this service - Launch/support a branded Preprints service #### TOP #### - Become Transparency and Openness Promotion Guidelines ([TOP][6]) signatory to express support of the principles and commit to conducting a review within a year of the standards and levels for potential adoption. - Adopt TOP Guidelines. (see example language [here][7]) - Pilot TOP implementation with a specific request for proposals. - Integrate requirements for openness using TOP into your proposal/grant guidelines. #### [Training][8] #### - Review the training resources available on the COS [YouTube][9] channel and subscribe to access new content - Schedule Webinar/training for grantees topic examples: openness and reproducibility, rigor and replicability, using the OSF, preregistration, or preprints - Schedule a talk, in-person training, webinar or event for your organization to raise awareness, open paths to adoption. Topics include (TOP guidelines, grant language, rigor and reproducibility requirements, OSF, preregistrations, registered reports, preprints) ---------- **Below are additional actions that your organization can take. Please contact the Center for Open Science for assistance on implementing any of the following (contact@cos.io).** #### OSF for Institutions #### - Market the OSF to your grantees as a free service to capture and retain their work - Adopt OSF Institutions and offer to grantees as a service - Require [OSF for Institutions][10] use for sharing with funder and/or public - Facilitate integration of OSF with your grants management and repository services through an application programming interface (API) #### Preregistration #### - Market the [Preregistration Challenge][11] | Share or this [webinar][12] and [one page flyer][13]. - Include preregistration as part of your required grant proposal procedures - Prepare to launch a registry service https://osf.io/registries/ #### Registered Reports #### - Learn about [Registered Reports][14] - Explore using Registered Reports funding pilot within your organization as part of the grant making process - Partner on with a journal that currently accepts Registered Reports or work with your existing community to implement Registered Reports more widely. #### Incentives - Badges to Acknowledge Open Practices #### - Explore [Open Practice Badges][15] as an [effective][16] incentive for open data, open materials, or preregistration. - Issue and market Open Practice Badges for funded work where data or materials are shared, or that includes a preregistration ---------- - Meeting [notes][17] #### Breakout Session Materials #### - [Evaluating Proposals][18] - [Grant Agreements][19] - [Funder Perspective: Managing Grants][20] - [Grantee Perspective: Understanding the capabilities of the OSF for research tracking and reporting][21] - [Creating Partnerships with Journals and Publishers][22] ---------- [HRA/COS Partnering Oppurtunities to Promote, Adopts, and Integrate Openness][23] ---------- [1]: https://osf.io/8mrfq/wiki/home/?view [2]: http://i.imgur.com/GsiL2th.png [3]: https://www.healthra.org/ [4]: http://cos.io [5]: https://cos.io/our-products/osf-preprints/ [6]: http://cos.io/top [7]: https://osf.io/bcj53/ [8]: https://cos.io/our-services/training-services/ [9]: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGPlVf8FsQ23BehDLFrQa-g [10]: https://cos.io/our-products/osf-institutions/ [11]: http://cos.io/prereg [12]: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EnKkGO3OM9c [13]: https://osf.io/hf3ty/ [14]: http://cos.io/rr [15]: https://cos.io/our-services/open-science-badges/ [16]: http://journals.plos.org/plosbiology/article?id=10.1371/journal.pbio.1002456 [17]: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1s_67FU0N2qi_sdc4JF-rZ7fddzx0spjC0Z-hNSJ4n3Q/edit?usp=sharing [18]: https://osf.io/5kqkw/ [19]: https://osf.io/p3gjm/ [20]: https://osf.io/4hy8y/ [21]: https://osf.io/6amdw/ [22]: https://osf.io/rzgsf/ [23]: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1cx83PMnCArsbQJXqsXx-OdkzoI2iOhPOWEAFB82KBtI/edit?usp=sharing
