We present four possible case studies that can be given to students to introduce healthcare analytics topics into the classroom. The analytical methods that these cases use include optimization using Excel Solver, multiple linear regression, Monte Carlo simulation and time series forecasting models. For each case, we present the background, the data or data description, and teaching notes on tips for use in the classroom. We also provide a summary of student feedback about the cases, which indicates that students found the cases useful to their learning. For complete solutions contact the authors.
