This presentation contains data showing examples of the casual/non-causal alternation in Mankanya (an Atlantic language spoken in Senegal, Gambia and Guinea-Bissau), starting from Hasplemath's list of 31 verb pairs. Mankanya uses a variety of different strategies for the alternation, predominantly causative and anti-causative.
