Description: The present study initially aims to explore whether well-established relationships between cognitive impairment, awareness of cognitive impairment, and emotional distress published in existing literature can be demonstrated in our sample of stroke survivors. The present study then seeks to extend the current literature by exploring whether the effect of cognitive change between subacute and 6-months post-stroke on mood at 6-months post-stroke is moderated by subacute cognitive impairment.
