Wiki Version:
People are very good in recognizing content of a photograph. What happens if you see one photo with your central vision and another in periphery? **Task**: We presented people with composite photographs depicting one scenes in the center and another in the peripheral part. People were asked to focus either central or peripheral part within each block and to classify images as natural or man-made scenes. **Questions**: - Is it easier to process central scenes or peripheral scenes? - Does the unattended image affect processing? Is the effect present for both central and peripheral distractors? **Example:** ![house inside/river outside][1] [1]: https://files.osf.io/v1/resources/849wm/providers/osfstorage/5ad776d3661c980010e30472?mode=render
