Description: This work is under the research theme ISRO-EOAM mountain ecosystem and ALOS-RA4 project on Himalayan glaciers and is part of the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), ISRO and Faculty of Geo-information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) Joint Education Programme (JEP) MSc Thesis. The main objectives are to develop new methods or improve existing ones to estimate fresh and standing (old) snow depths along with the corresponding Snow Water Equivalent (SWE) over the Beas watershed, northwestern Himalayas.
