Heart2Heart is a one-session intervention to aid in the reduction of discrimination-based stress. It was built following the HEART theoretical model advanced by Chavez-Dueñas and colleagues. We use existing resources in microaggressions (Sue et al., 2007) and microinterventions (Sue et al., 2019), as well the Racism Recovery Plan (Jerningan et al., 2015). The meditation component was developed by Longoria (2014). We have brilliant colleauges that have done beautiful work. We just pulled pieces together to bring this healing to our local community.
