**PsychGen Working Group on Open and Reproducible Science: Team Summary and Operations** The PsychGen Working Group on Open and Reproducible Science is dedicated to advancing open science practices within the PsychGen centre. Our primary purpose is to foster a culture of transparency, rigor, and collaboration in scientific research. Below, we outline our goals, operational details, and resources to help achieve our mission. **Goals:** 1. **Promoting Good Habits and Enthusiasm:** We aim to instill good scientific practices, improve literacy, and cultivate enthusiasm for open and reproducible science within the PsychGen community. 2. **Resource Hub:** We strive to be a valuable resource for PsychGen members looking to integrate open science practices into their research. **Short-Term Objectives:** - **Introduction and Awareness:** By November 3, we will introduce the importance of open and reproducible science practices, our working group, and gather feedback from the PsychGen community on their expectations and potential obstacles to open practices. **Long-Term Objectives:** - **Resource Curation:** In the medium term, we will curate a list of existing resources related to open science practices to streamline access. - **Resource Creation:** Over the longer term, we plan to develop specific resources tailored to the needs of the PsychGen centre. - **Resource Dissemination:** We aim to establish efficient platforms for sharing resources, such as a dedicated website, the Open Science Framework (OSF), or Microsoft Teams. - **Collaboration with Library:** We will build a productive partnership with the library, leveraging their resources and support for open science initiatives. - **Wider Communication:** We intend to communicate with the broader organization, Folkhelseinstittutet (FHI), through blogs, workshops, or other means to share open science insights and best practices. - **Consultation Services:** We plan to offer regular clinics or consultation services to assist PsychGen members in implementing open science practices. - **Preregistration Enhancement:** We will explore ways to make preregistrations easier, potentially by offering simulated data for practice. **Alignment with Organizational Goals:** Our objectives align with the broader goals of the PsychGen centre and FHI by promoting open and reproducible science. We aim to enhance the quality and reliability of research while fostering a collaborative and transparent research environment. **Operational Information:** **Communication:** Team communication will occur via Microsoft Teams, and we will store documentation on the OSF. **Leadership:** The team requires a leadership style involving occasional executive decision-making, overview, and organization. **Decision-Making:** Our default decision-making process is democratic, with most decisions reached by majority vote. However, occasional executive decisions may be necessary from the leadership. **Meetings:** The team will meet weekly at FHI. **Resources for Open Science Implementation:** To assist researchers and teams in implementing open science practices, here is a list of 10 websites offering guidance: 1. [Center for Open Science (COS)](https://www.cos.io/) 2. [Open Science Framework (OSF)](https://osf.io/) 3. [The Carpentries](https://carpentries.org/) 4.
