Description: This repository contains software packages, data, and analysis scripts to accompany the publication "Herla, F., Haegeli, P., and Mair, P.: A data exploration tool for averaging and accessing large data sets of snow stratigraphy profiles useful for avalanche forecasting", accepted by The Cryosphere, July 2022.
Data and Code
The script paper_averageSP.R reproduces the majority of the analysis and the figures of the paper by using the various data objects ending with .rds/.rdata. While the script installs the required software package sarp.snowprofile.alignment from our online repository, a tarball file of the package (precompiled on Linux) is included here for backup.
