Wiki Version:
***Palliat Rehab*** Palliat Rehab is an integrated, rehabilitation service initiative in Ireland that is delivered by Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, Dublin, and St. Francis' Hospice, Dublin. As part of the service, individuals with life-limiting illnesses will be supported to reach their rehabilitation goals by an occupational therapist in Mater Misericordiae University Hospital and by a specialist palliative care physiotherapist operating from St. Francis Hospice in the community. **The Case Study** As part of this service initiative, an exploratory, case study is currently underway to enhance our understanding of the form, content, and practical delivery of Palliat Rehab between an acute and community setting in Ireland. This longitudinal study will examine the design and delivery of Palliat Rehab for an 18-month period and will entail the collection of standardised outcome measures from individuals receiving Palliat Rehab, in addition to interview data with patients, their loved ones, and professionals delivering the service. We aim to provide clear, transferable information on developing an integrated, rehabilitation service to inform future initiatives in this field. A protocol of the Palliat Rehab case study is now available on HRB Open and version 2 (based on reviewers' comments) has been submitted by the authors and will be live shortly. ****Ní Chéileachair FN, Johnston BM, Payne C et al.
