Wiki Version:
# Data Notes The data files are tab-delimited .tsv files. These files were created by exporting all of the e-merged edat files from E-Prime. The extract_RL scripts extract the resumption lags, inter-action intervals, and critical move errors that were analyzed in the paper. Running these R scripts on the .tsv files will create the .csv files that were used for analyses reported in the paper. The .csv files have an accompanying data dictionary that explains each column. The .tsv files do not have a data dictionary because the E-Prime script output many columns that are specific to the task problem (i.e., the tower problems) and would be difficult to describe without referring to how the E-Prime code functions. If there are questions, the authors are happy to answer them. # Data Exclusions ## Exp 1A & 1B in this study, data for participants 65, 100, 102, 117, 130, 138, 181, 186, 188, 195, 197, and 201 were excluded for interruption accuracy less than 70%. Participants 42, 35, 158 were excluded because of failure to follow experimenter instructions to turn off their cell phones or because one had previously participated in a pilot study with the same tasks (as stated in the paper). ## Exp 2 Participants 18, 45, 67, 69, 96 were excluded for interruption accuracy less than 70%. Participant 56 was also excluded for low accuracy and for not completing the task due to technical error.
