Description: In this project, we investigated ambivalence toward the implementation and non-implementation of measures aiming to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in samples of unvaccinated and vaccinated people. We found that unvaccinated people hold univalent negative attitudes toward the implementation of the preventive measures. However, they simultaneously experience conflicting feelings and thoughts (i.e. subjective ambivalence) toward the implementation of the preventive measures. A similar dissociation between attitude and experienced conflict was found in vaccinated participants. That is, even though they indicated rather neutral attitudes toward the non-implementation of the preventive measures, they experienced conflict toward the non-implementation of the preventive measures.
