The diphthongs PRICE, MOUTH, FACE and GOAT in New Zealand English have been characterised as showing "diphthong shift" and "glide weakening". Like most analyses of diphthongs, previous studies have focussed on changes in the qualities of two temporally fixed targets: the nucleus and the offglide. We model changes in the full formant trajectories of PRICE, MOUTH, FACE and GOAT over a period of 130 years.
This OSF repository contains data for two separate analyses: one for ICPhS 2019 (in the *ICPhS* folder) and one for NWAV48 (in the *NWAV* folder). In addition, videos summarising our models are provided in the *videos* folder (with the file names reflecting which conference contribution they pertain to).
