Description: This study will examine attention capture within a visual search task with color singleton distractors. Participants will complete a shape-singleton search task on which 50% of trials present a color singleton as a distractor. While completing the task, participants' gaze and pupil diameter will be continuously recorded from both eyes. We will investigate both behavioral metrics of attention capture (accuracy and reaction time) and oculometrics (e.g., gaze paths, dwell times, pupillary dilations) and their interrelatedness. Finally, correlations among the measures and external measures of attention control and working memory capacity will be examined.
