Wiki Version:
**Data relevant to the paper: Differences between autistic and non-autistic adults in the recognition of anger from facial motion remain after controlling for alexithymia.** **Please also note that if you use our data, you are required to cite our original paper (CC BY 2.0)** *Keating, C.T., Fraser, D.S., Sowden, S. & Cook, J. L. Differences Between Autistic and Non-Autistic Adults in the Recognition of Anger from Facial Motion Remain after Controlling for Alexithymia. J Autism Dev Disord (2021). https://doi.org/10.1007/s10803-021-05083-9* **Data files and information** Data: https://osf.io/2mg9q/ SPSS syntax: https://osf.io/vg4e8/ **Interpreting the data** In the data file, you will see that there are columns named in a format like this: A_1_2_accuracy - Within this format, the letter at the start corresponds to the emotion that was shown (A= Angry, H= Happy, S=Sad). - The number that follows is the level of the spatial manipulation (1= 50% spatial extent, 2= 100% spatial extent, 3= 150% spatial extent) - The final number corresponds with the level of the kinematic manipulation (1= 50% speed, 2= 100% speed, 3= 150% speed) Hence, the column titled **A_1_2_accuracy** corresponds with accuracy for **Angry** videos shown at **50% of their recorded spatial extent** and shown at **normal speed**! A column titled H_1_3_accuracy corresponds with the accuracy for **Happy** videos **shown at 50% of their recorded spatial extent** and shown at **increased speed**! **Important Note**: Please note that 1 autistic and 3 control participants did not consent to their data being anonymised and made available online and hence the dataset that we have been uploaded comprises the data from 26 control and 30 autistic participants. Therefore, the statistics reported in the paper (comprising data from 29 control and 31 autistic participants) may differ from any produced by analysing our uploaded dataset.
