This symposium examines how various aspects of social identity underpin people’s health behaviors, beliefs and policy attitudes regarding COVID-19. With longitudinal and multinational data collected during the pandemic, our four talks examine how group identity, norms, leaderships, and identity threats affect the way people think and behave during the pandemic.
