Description: Health inequalities are unfair and preventable differences in health status between groups of people or communities. The poorest health outcomes are associated with inclusion health groups, who experience multiple morbidity, early mortality and extreme health inequities across a wide range of health conditions (Aldridge et al, 2017). An inclusion health agenda has been gaining momentum over the past decade, aiming to bring attention to the consequences of extreme health and social inequity and the need for improved health care for these populations (Luchenski et al, 2017). Despite this development, there is currently a lack of understanding about how the issues are being addressed in the undergraduate education of healthcare professionals. The rationale for this scoping review is therefore to explore the existing peer reviewed and grey literature about inclusion health in undergraduate education for healthcare professionals. Mapping the available literature will improve our understanding of the knowledge base and this in turn, will facilitate targeted research to improve undergraduate education on inclusion heath.
