Description: Project A7 studies the volitional regulation of brain activity in regions linked to emotional reactivity using real-time (rt-)fMRI neurofeedback and repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) as interventional tools. The project investigates (i) the efficacy of rt-fMRI neurofeedback in achieving volitional control of a target region, (ii) the neural mechanisms involved in successful regulation, and (iii) mechanisms of emotional reactivity and the effects of regulation.
