Description: It has been suggested that tooth eruption is a physiological process that affects babies and children, causing several signs and symptoms during the appearance of the teeth through the gingiva, such as fever, irritability, itchy gums and anxiety. Knowing the effectiveness of the treatments used to alleviate them is a relevant issue that would contribute to the implementation of therapeutic strategies in clinical practice. Because there is no consensus in the literature on the matter, the conduction of a systematic review is warranted
