Description: This study tests whether social class and cognitive load moderate the "curse of knowledge effect." Using Birch and Bloom's (2007) violin task, we test whether individuals low in social class display greater impairment in false-belief reasoning than do higher-class individuals when placed under cognitive load. Cognitive load is manipulated by varying the response deadline to be difficult (short) or easy (long).
