Description: Neotropical stingless bees (Meliponini) visit both carrion and flowers. We investigated mineral preferences of facultative necrophagous bees on carrion. Bees were equally likely to visit sodium-soaked and unsoaked baits; they were less likely to visit baits soaked in calcium, potassium, or water baits. Three species that visited baits collected flesh.
