Description: We collect participants' (i.e., non-experts') definitions for English pseudowords (i.e., words outside the English lexicon which however still follow English orthographic rules) and existing words. We use word embeddings from Language Models (LMs) to obtain meaning representations for these words (with pseudowords being represented via embeddings for their subword units) and their definitions, and investigate whether the definitions are closer to the word for which they were created than to the other words.
