# Navigate the data This OSF component holds the data that will be analyzed in the [**Many Speech Analyses**](https://osf.io/3bmcp/) project. Each subdirectory in this component has a `README.md` file with further information on the content of that subdirectory. If you are an analyst participating in the [**Many Speech Analyses**](https://osf.io/3bmcp/) project, the files that are relevant to you are those in `production/audio/`. ## Data sources The data in this component was produced by two prior studies (for a thorough description, see the the file `methods_norm_prod.pdf` in this component). **Norming study**. This study was designed to obtain typicality ratings of re-colored images of everyday objects from participants. The typicality ratings were used to establish typicality categories (typical, medium typical, atypical) of color/object combination for the production study. **Production study**. In the production study, participants were recorded while reading written prompts presented on screen together with four re-colored images (same images as in the norming study; each trial had a different set of four images). The written prompts were sentences containing adjective/noun combinations (e.g., *blue banana*) referring to one of the four displayed objects. ## Data directories ### Norming study The `norming/` directory contains two subdirectories with a selection of files related to the norming study: - `images/`: the 134 re-colored images as `.png` files. - `results/`: an aggregated `.csv` file with the participants' typicality ratings for the re-colored images. If you are interested in the complete set of files of the norming study, including the files to run an instance of the experiment, see the [GitHub repo](https://github.com/stelaseldano/colour-typicality-norming). ### Production study In the `production/` directory you can find two subdirectories: - `audio/`: containing the audio recordings as `.wav` files and Praat annotations as `.TextGrid` files (matched naming by participant id; n = 30 participants). - `trial-lists/`: `.csv` files (one per participant) with info on the experimental conditions for each trial. If you are interested in the complete set of files of the production study, including the files to run an instance of the experiment, see the [GitHub repo](https://github.com/SBRitter/fruits-production).
