Estimating the reproducibility of psychological science: accounting for the statistical significance of the original study Robbie C. M. van Aert & Marcel A. L. M. van Assen Tilburg University & Utrecht University We developed a method for estimating and testing effect size based on one significant original study and one replication study. We show its accuracy, and apply it to estimate effect sizes of 100 studies from psychology included in the Reproducibility Project (Open Science Collaboration, 2015).
