Description: Within the NHS, there is a drive for clinicians from the professions alongside medicine to become involved in and lead relevant healthcare research as clinical academics. These professions include nursing, midwifery, allied health professions, healthcare science, pharmacy and psychology (NMAHPPs). We have developed an evidence-based framework that collates the key impacts of NMAHPP research activity, as perceived by patients and the public, healthcare managers, and research active NMAHPPs. We have translated this framework into a series of questions that can be used to record the impact of research activity in a standardised way to allow comparison between teams or organisations, and over time.
