**Overview** The REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) platform is a secure web application for building and managing research data collection instruments. The platform is specifically designed to support online or offline data capture for research studies. The UBC ARC REDCap platform includes two instances of REDCap are available to the UBC research community. We’ll cover the REDCap basic features that you may need to meet your research projects’ data collection requirements, that includes: building data instruments and surveys, preparing data set exports, and managing user access control. We’ll also share some creative ways REDCap can be setup to help facilitate your research data collection workflow. **Presenter** Michael Tang is a Scientific Analyst with the Advanced Research Computing team at UBC. He has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering from UBC.
