Description: We experimentally investigate the claim that phonological markedness can influence word order. We use Tagalog word order variation in noun-adjective pairs as a testing ground for this claim and we use nasal OCP, a markedness constraint that disprefers sequences of adjacent nasal segments, as a case study.
