Night and day, you are the one: on circadian mismatches and the transference effect in social perception. *Psychological Science, 19*(3), 296-301. **Target of replication.** We seek to replicate the significant interaction between circadian matching and similarity, F(1, 38) = 9.47, p < .01 supporting their hypothesis that when a participant is tested during a circadian mismatch (e.g. a “morning person” was tested in the evening) and presented with a future collaborator who is similar to their significant other, more transference would occur. **A priori replication criteria.** A successful replication would find a significant interaction between circadian matching and similarity condition on false alarm rates. To test this we will perform a 2 (similarity condition: similar vs. nonsimilar) x 2 (circadian matching: matched vs. mismatch) between subjects ANOVA.
