Description: Food insecurity is an increasing concern in the United Kingdom, with approximately 9.7 million adults experiencing food insecurity. Food insecurity may lead to the development of long term physical and mental health conditions. Despite a body of evidence regarding the prevalence and consequences of food insecurity, there are currently no UK-based reviews of interventions to address food insecurity in adults. The objective of this scoping review is to understand what interventions have been tested in adults experiencing food insecurity in the UK, and the intervention elements that appear integral for a feasible and effective intervention.
