# About the frequency corpora The frequency corpora used to compute rarity/sophistication measures can all freely be downloaded on-line; **we are not their owners**. We have merely uploaded these files to OSF.io to ensure that all scripts work out-of-the-box. **Lexique 3** (`FrequencyCorpora/LEXIQUE_FR.csv`) can be downloaded from http://www.lexique.org and is distributed under the following licence: http://www.lexique.org/public/license_lexique.htm. Reference: New, Boris, Marc Brysbaert, Jean Veronis and Christophe Pallier. 2007. The use of film subtitles to estimate word frequencies. *Applied Psycholinguistics* 28. 661-677. doi:10.1017/S014271640707035X. **SUBTLEX-DE** (`FrequencyCorpora/SUBTLEX_DE.csv`) can be downloaded from http://crr.ugent.be/archives/534 and is distributed under the CC BY-NC-ND 3.0 licence (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/legalcode). The file `FrequencyCorpora/SUBTLEXDE_LemmasJV.csv` is a slight adaptation of this file, in which lemma information has been added. The file `FrequencyCorpora/SUBTLEXPT_LemmasJV.csv` is a slight adaptation of this file, in which lemma information has been added.
