**Links to Workshops** ---------- ---------- [Introduction to GIS](https://mapping.share.library.harvard.edu/resources/new-to-gis/workshop/) Author: Belle Lipton Description: This is my introduction to GIS workshop. It works really well for teaching the difference between vector and raster data, preparing students to use both kinds, evaluating data tables, symbolization for aesthetics vs understanding patterns, composing a static map in QGIS. The materials are all here to teach it yourself, and I am happy to run through it beforehand with anyone who would want to teach it. It takes about 1.5 hours, I usually book 2 hours for questions.
