Description: This study had the objective of identifying, mapping and synthesizing the scientific evidence on the use of traditional medicine as a therapeutic resource by traditional communities of the Brazilian Amazon. It is a scoping review, a method used to map the main concepts of a research area, sources and available evidence, developed in five stages: 1) identification of the research question; 2) identification of two relevant studies; 3) selection of two studies; 4) analyze two dice; and 5) grouping, synthesise and presentation of two dice. In relation to the results, medicinal plants, vertebrate and invertebrate animals, among other medicinal products, are the elements widely used by traditional populations.
