Description: Recognizing the importance of interprofessional collaboration (IPC), healthcare professionals are aware that providing optimal care in the acute trauma setting requires more than individual efforts. The effectiveness of IPC is also influenced by healthcare systems and organizational structures, including the policy context, human resources, and organizational culture. However, a comprehensive review of this important topic is currently lacking, which hinders valuable insights for healthcare professionals and decision-makers striving to improve IPC and the overall quality of acute trauma care. Therefore, the purpose of this scoping review is to identify and describe the specific structures that influence IPC in acute trauma care and to fill a critical gap in existing knowledge.
