Description: The rationale given by researchers for the likely effectiveness of virtual rehabilitation reveals common acceptance of the fact that these interventions can enhance engagement and motivation and give a feeling of immersion and presence, thus improve motor learning after stroke. The aim of this scoping review is to explore the role of motivation, engagement, presence and immersion during motor learning in virtual environments in stroke rehabilitation.
