Description: Together Drs. Anna Josephson and Jeffrey Michler run the Applied International Development Economics (AIDE) Lab. We research a range of topics in applied economics, around the world. Our core research focuses on the economic and environmental challenges facing individuals and households in developing countries. Specifically, we seek to understand how technology adoption can reduce food insecurity and how environmental risk and climate change threatens the progress that has been made since the Green Revolution to reduce hunger. More recently, we've been exploring the socioeconomic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic in Sub-Saharan Africa. On this OSF page we outline the standards, expectations, and tools we use for the AIDE Lab. In the Wiki, you will find information relevant to the operation of the Lab. This includes profiles of lab members and collaborators, as well as information about the software we use for organization of the lab and analysis of the data. Our goal for this OSF page is to provide a guidelines and direction for how the AIDE Lab operates. In everything, our purpose is to ensure the Lab's work aligns with the best practices of Open Science. If you are new to the AIDE Lab, please start by reviewing all of the information in the Wiki. Ensure you have all the necessary software downloaded and installed.
