Wiki Version:
Development and piloting of the Brief Open Research Survey (BORS) to assess current Open Science behaviours in researchers for the UK Reproducibility Network (UKRN). We are developing an online questionnaire with a completion time of under 10 minutes. The questionnaire assess awareness and engagement with Open Research behaviours: preregistration, Registered Reports, open materials, open (or FAIR) data, open code, open software, replication studies, preprints, Open Access publication, open educational resources, research co-production and citizen science. Open-ended questions will enable additional views to be shared. This questionnaire does not assess attitudes or behaviour change elements (e.g., Capability, Opportunity, Motivation) in order to keep the questionnaire brief and maximise completion. This questionnaire will allow curation of a UKRN databank of longitudinally assessed measures within its organisational network. It can also be used as part of other research studies globally.
