Wiki Version:
This is an assignment for @lakens MOOC ["Improving your Statistical Reasoning"][4], which overall is very informative and quite enjoyable. In particular, this is an assignment to teach open science principles and practices. I have taken the opportunity to document how one might in principle apply web scraping using the R package rvest (which is discouraged as it is in conflict with IMBD licencing), and also author a report in Rmarkdown. As such, substantial portions of the report are generated based on analyses embedded in the markdown file itself. ---------- The template this is based on was constructed for use by individuals who wish to follow the TIER Protocol for conducting and documenting an empirical research project. Information about the [TIER Protocol][1], and in particular about [how to use this template][2], can be found on the [Project TIER website][3].
