Description: SchistoScope is the latest example of the growing capabilities and widespread use of mobile technologies for mobile data collection, particularly in low resource settings. CellScope is a new way to use the camera of a mobile phone to collect magnified images for medical, scientific, and educational purposes. This project expanded the USAID/DIL funded work on CellScope to for automatic quantification of schistosomiasis (SchistoScope). The data on this page was used in the analysis in the paper titled "Point-of-care sample preparation and automated quantitative detection of Schistosoma haematobium using mobile phone microscopy."
