Description: Full dataset for Chan and Chang (2019, "Perception of nonnative tonal contrasts by Mandarin-English and English-Mandarin sequential bilinguals", JASA), in Excel format (.xlsx) and tab-delimited text format (.txt). Sheets 1-6 of the Excel file provide the data in spreadsheet format, for Experiment 1 (tone discrimination; sheet 1), Experiment 2a (tone similarity rating; sheet 2), Experiment 2b (language similarity rating; sheet 3), subjects' demographic information (sheet 4), Experiment 1 individual trial data (sheet 5), and Experiment 2a individual trial data (sheet 6). Sheet 7 provides a key explaining each column of the spreadsheets in sheets 1-6.
